Career coaching is a process that is geared to help you align your professional aspirations with your personal values. The objective is to help you gain insight so that you can find a vocation that truly resonates with your core strengths.
The International Federation of Coaching (ICF) defines career coaching as a defined partnership between coach and client where clients are engaged in a “thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.” Our coaching approach recognizes that you are the “expert” and that our job is to help you identify and leverage the resources you already possess. Some of the ways we work to help you better recognize these assets are:
-
Create a uniform and holistic career approach helping you discover, clarify, and align your personal and professional passions
-
Create a safe place for self-discovery
-
Co-create solutions and strategies (e.g. resume review, social media strategy, etc.)
-
Define attainable goals and hold you responsible and accountable
While we use some standardized assessments to help build clarity, all our engagements are customized and tailored to your needs….we don’t use generic coaching program aides or materials. We balance both qualitative and quantitative information to help bring your career exploration into focus and provide with tangible data to gain self-awareness.
Coaching can be delivered in a variety of ways. Our experience shows that in-person coaching, at least initially, yields the best results; however, coaching sessions can be conducted by phone or video chat (i.e. Zoom Meeting).
Our coaching process is meant to help our clients gain insight, develop a strategy and identify the intersection between personal and professional passion. Our work together is also meant to create a safe place to lower the level of anxiety that can occur when exploring your career, and eventually develop an “emotionally informed” career strategy.
Our coaching staff has deep knowledge of human behavior and have demonstrated this knowledge by obtaining the Board Certified Coach (BCC) designation, accredited by the National Board of Certified Counselors.
