Jeff E.B. Johnson, MA, BCC
Founder & CEO
Jeff is the Founder and CEO of Equil Consulting. He is responsible for helping companies crystallize the chaos of business and define, refine, and execute on their business strategy.
Jeff began his management consulting career in compliance with Hewitt Aon and later provided change management and executive pay/benefits consulting with Willis Towers Watson. After consulting with large organizations for over seven years, he eventually took his expertise to two small boutique firms where he consulted and trained retirement plan committee board members on risk and fiduciary responsibilities.
Recognizing that many of the challenges faced by business leaders stemmed from management team structure and the ineffective use of human capital, Jeff decided to complement his business acumen with an M.A. in Clinical Psychology, gaining vital insight into how individual leadership and management team dynamics impact the ultimate success of organizations.
In 2013, Jeff created Transformative Solutions LLC, focusing on business and leadership consulting. Then, in 2014, he responded to market demand and rebranded Transformative Solutions as Equil Consulting LLC to better serve his clients with a broader array of change management consulting solutions. Today, Equil Consulting provides comprehensive management consultancy to for-profit, non-profit, and government agencies.
Jeff holds a B.A. in Political Science from Augustana College, an M.A. in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. He is finishing his Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Leadership at Marquette University. He also holds the Board Certified Coach (BCC) designation in Executive and Business Coaching from the Center for Credentialing & Education (a division of the National Board for Certified Counselors), a professional counseling license (LPC) in Illinois, and a Mediation Certificate from Northwestern University.
